Research was the main goal of our summer research program. Participants . . .

However, we also had a few weekly activities (either educational or for entertainment) in which to participate!

May 20 9am-noon Safety Training (chem dept meeting)

May 20 1:30p-3:30p  Chemistry Stockroom/Facilities training
Week 2: May 26 May 29 BBQ (Thurs) 5:30pm, Basketball court, sign up in office!
Week 3: June 2 June 4 (Wed)  9am-lunch--Introductory Research Presentations (4 min, bring your lunch! We bring dessert and drinks)
         Giving a Quality Research Presentation--Things to Consider
Week 4: June 9 June 10 (Tues) 7 pm Annual DUOPOLY tournament & Ice Cream event
Week 5: June 16 Work, work, work...
Week 6: June 23 June 24  7:05 p.m Anaheim Angels play the Seattle Mariners (see Prof VanRyswyk for tix and cost <$10)
June 28 Hike! (Prof Baker will lead this!)
Week 7: June 30 July 2 (Wed) 6pm--Chile Cook-off (Chez Prof Baker)
July 4 (Friday)  Holiday
Week 8: July 7 July 7 Be sure to sign up for what size T-shirt you want to Tie-dye
July 8 12-2 pm Ethics workshop (we provide lunch!)
July 11 (Fri) T-shirts tye-dying! (if the shirts are in...) Morning in SuperLab
Week 9: July14 July 18  (Fri) First half: Final Research Presentations 9-noon
Week 10: July 22 - 26 July 18  (Mon) Second half: Final Research Presentations 9-noon
July 25 (Friday) Clean up and be sure to have final paragraphs/comments/surveys to Prof Baker!
